Queen’s View Visitor Centre

Stunning, calendar-friendly viewpoint, very popular with visitors of all kinds arriving by car, coach, bike and, for the hardy, on foot. Large (50+) but often busy car park. Interesting forest shop and tea-room. Audio-visual presentation and exhibition. Picnic tables scattered through well-kept grounds The walks at Allean Forest, just west of the Queen's View Centre combine varied terrain and tree species with interesting archaeological sites. Within a few minutes walk from the car park the trail passes through the Clachan, a partly restored eighteenth century farmstead. Half a mile to the east are the well preserved remains of an eighth century ring fort in a commanding position overlooking Loch Tummel.
