The Tall Ship

Restored to a former glory, the Glenlee is one of only five remaining Clydebuilt sailing ships still afloat in the world. A visit takes you back in time to experience what life was like on the high seas. Visit the galley, take the wheel, and explore the cargo hold. Where did the Glenlee sail? What did she carry? What did the crew eat? What was it like to command a ship in mid-ocean? Discover what life was really like aboard a tall ship. Directions: By car: From the M8, take junction 19 onto the Clydeside Expressway (A814). Then follow the tourist signage for 'The Riverside Museum and The Tall Ship'. There is car and coach parking in front of the visitor centre. By train: Take the low-level train from Glasgow Queen Street Station to Partick Station. From the station, follow the signs for The Tall Ship. This will take approx. 10 minutes. By bus: The No.100 Riversider bus service and the City Sightseeing tourist buses stop at our front door. These leave from George Square. Opening Times: 10.00am to 5.00pm 7 days a week April through October 10.00am to 4.00pm 7 days a week November through March. The Tall Ship is now FREE for individuals and families (up to a maximum of 8 people per group).
