Abbotsford is a historic house stunningly located on the banks of the River Tweed, built and lived in by world renowned novelist Sir Walter Scott.
The house contains an impressive collection of historic relics, weapons and armour, including Rob Roy's gun, dirk and sword, and an extensive library containing over 7,000 rare volumes. It sits amid formal gardens and a wider landscape that Scott designed and planted.
At Abbotsford, you will also find a state of the art Visitor Centre with gift shop, an exhibition and a modern restaurant, inviting you for a rest aftr enjoying the extensive estate walks.
The Hope Scott Wing of the house has been transformed into luxury accommodation with meeting facilities.
Abbotsford plays the perfect host to events of all kinds, and provides a unique range of locations, both indoor and out.
