The Helix, home to the Kelpies

The Helix, home to the Kelpies, is a transformed 300 hectare landscape, from under-used land between Falkirk and Grangemouth into an exciting new parkland and visitor attraction.

The attraction, opened in the summer of 2013, is an outdoor recreational area offering easy access to picturesque woodland, a central park, events space, public artworks, linked paths, cycleways and water features.

The Helix and The Kelpies have gone from strength to strength and remain one of the most popular attractions in the central Scotland area, whilst attracting ardent visitors from across the globe.

A new canal link into the Forth & Clyde Canal improves access to Scotland’s waterways and welcomes an increase in leisure boating traffic. The canal link features two huge equine sculptures known as the Kelpies.
