Dunblane Cathedral

One of Scotland's finest medieval churches. The lower part of the building was built in the 1200s, and restored in the 1800s. The 15th century choir stalls - among the oldest in Scotland - are carved with real and fantastical beasts. Lively animal carvings designed by Robert Rowand Anderson and Sir Robert Lorimer in the 19th-20th centuries, recall the work of medieval craftsmen.
