Deep in the heart of the Galloway Forest Park lies Clatteringshaws Visitor Centre, a good starting point for your journey of discovery. Situated on the shores of Clatteringshaws Loch, it is an ideal spot to rest and view the breathtaking scenery, or take refreshments in our tearoom before venturing on to find what mysteries the Queen's Way holds. Raiders' Road Forest Drive (£2 toll) (Open March to October) is just along the road and well worth visiting. We are on the Galloway Red Kite Trail. Alternatively enjoy a stroll out to Bruce's Stone with stunning views of Clatteringshaws Loch and the Galloway hills beyond. Other places nearby to visit include the Red Deer Range, The Wild Goat Park and The Grey Mare's Tail. Call in for information on walks, cycle trails and attractions in the area.
