Visitor Services Supervisor (Head Cook)

Application Deadline: Friday 25th January 2019
Hours: 40 hours
Location: The Hill House
Salary range: £21,867

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and inspiring cook/chef to manage the kitchen and servery for the new and exciting Hill House Box catering offer. You will predominately be looking after the food production and service but will also be heavily involved in the management of the team, customer service, financial accountability and supervision of the property.
About the Project - The Hill House is an architectural gem and with fascinating family stories waiting to be told. Described by Mackintosh as ""a dwelling house"", The Hill House was a family home for over 40 years. We will be opening the doors for visitors to venture inside to see Mackintosh's iconic creations and hear more about the people who lived here.
As part of a ten year conservation programme the National Trust for Scotland will be opening stage one which is a steel frame structure covered in chainmail mesh incorporating walkways around and over the house. This structure, along with a new visitor centre which includes the cafe, will allow visitors to experience The Hill House like never before. Open to the elements, but under a roof, this building will deliver a unique heritage visitor experience, the like of which has never been tried before.
