The role

We invest in, and value, our people and we have an exciting opportunity based within our Head Office in Kirkcaldy to welcome to our team an ambitious and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager.

You will lead teams that span all our current areas of trading operations; catering, retail, room hire, and events whilst seeking to expand our portfolio of activities. You will set the direction for the team and ensure they are provided with the necessary support, encouragement and autonomy to succeed in their roles.

You will work closely with the Director of Corporate and Commercial Development to create the strategic vision and associated business plans that will underpin all our activity. Reporting to the Trading Subsidiary Board will be a key aspect of the role; keeping Board members up to date with performance information and progress against plans.

The right person will have a ‘can do’ attitude and entrepreneurial spirit, with a welcoming and supportive personality that is essential for building relationships that are a vehicle for change and progress.

 Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience in relevant discipline (Hospitality, Finance, Business, Retail, etc)
 At least 3 Years’ relevant experience, within a fast-paced environment, with line manager experience
 Sound understanding of financial management and business planning
 Able to build meaningful and effective relationships
 Thrives in an environment that works to targets and deadlines
