The National Library of Scotland is one of 10 national and regional hub partners recruiting project staff in Aberystwyth, Belfast, Brighton, Bristol, Glasgow, London, Leicester, Manchester, Newcastle and Norwich.

We are now seeking to recruit a Rights Officer to our existing project team based at Kelvin Hall, Glasgow. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough knowledge, and experience, of IPR issues & legislation, as well as knowledge of open licensing frameworks such as Creative Commons licenses and an understanding of data protection and privacy issues. The role will require the ability to organise & track own workload and to work flexibly within the project as a whole. This role will help us to open up our newly digitised sound recordings by assessing rights and sensitivity issues and clearing the recordings for online publication and public display.
