Eden Scott is delighted to be working with Rosebery Estates to recruit a Sales and Marketing Manager.

Dalmeny House and Estate has been the home to the Earls of Rosebery since 1662. Together, the Rosebery Estates cover a diverse and beautiful landscape from the coastal shores of West Lothian near Edinburgh to the upland moors of Leithenwater in the Scottish Borders. These working estates thrive on sustainable enterprise and community – agriculture, forestry, country pursuits and property management and prosper in careful balance with the environment.

On the Firth of Forth shore lies Barnbougle, a romantic castle locked away for almost a century. This hidden gem sits majestically on the Dalmeny Estate, within 2000 acres of private parkland. The dramatic Castle’s private beaches are framed by enchanting woodlands and the castle has never been open to the public and has been completely closed for the last 90 years. Today is a fairy-tale venue with majestic reception rooms, antiquarian libraries and sweeping coastal views it offers a stunningly grand space for corporate events, weddings and private events & parties.

Soon to open is Rosebery House & Steading, these two properties lie opposite each other in beautiful countryside near Temple in Midlothian. Rosebery House which can accommodate 20 guests sits in its own parkland, with chapel, and has a large walled garden to the rear with a tennis court and conservatory. Rosebery Steading comprises of three cottages and once building work is complete in Autumn 2019 there will be two stunning rustic barn event spaces plus bar room arranged around a courtyard for private and exclusive hire.

This key appointment as Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for the promotion of events and accommodation at these beautiful venues.

Specific Responsibilities

Sales:

To develop and manage a strategic sales plan to grow sectoral business.

To proactively manage and grow the customer database extending corporate business by securing new accounts.
To increase and maximise weddings business.

To build strong professional relationships across key markets and present the Estates’ venues to potential customers.

To develop relationships with prospective target customers including local/national businesses and event agents.

To effectively represent the Rosebery brand and venues at tradeshows, networking events and seminars.

To deal with all phone, postal and email enquiries – sales, marketing and general - and respond efficiently with written proposals, costings and relevant promotional literature.

To meet potential clients on site, discuss their requirements and show them the facilities.

Marketing:

To prepare and manage a marketing plan and budget supporting key markets – MICE, Corporate, Weddings and Private Client – helping manage third party agencies / consultants, where required.

To be responsible for the promotion of Rosebery Estates venues across all key channels: venue websites, social media

To develop and evaluate on and offline marketing plans to include digital media, advertising, SEO, PPC, Social media and email marketing. At times this will involve coordinating with other agency providers to ensure a seamless delivery.

Coordinate innovative and engaging brand assets for display media, which may involve working with third party design and digital providers.

Develop and deliver engaging marketing reports on the effectiveness of all marketing activity.

To coordinate the production and distribution of all promotional print requirements, including the design and print of high quality leaflets, flyers, and brochures to pre-agreed budgets in accordance with Rosebery Estates Brand Manual. Ensure that all creative is delivered on time for advertising and planned campaigns.

To organize and control picture library images and distribute as necessary.

To coordinate all on-line and print advertising in local/national press and trade publications including copywriting and image selection in accordance with the Rosebery Estates brand manual.

To organize specific marketing events to show case facilities to relevant market sectors.

To coordinate attendance at tradeshows and exhibitions, including booking of stand space, stand design/ PowerPoint presentations etc in accordance with Rosebery Estates Brand Manual.


Key skills and experience required:

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and commercially-focused individual with a proven track record developing and building business.

Candidates should have a background in tourism and hospitality with a minimum of six years’ experience. Luxury brands experience is preferred and ideally a sympathy and understanding of out of town rural estates.

Strong and effective communication, negotiation and presentation skills are essential.

Excellent salary up to £40,000 dependent on skills and experience is on offer plus various generous company benefits in order to secure the right candidate.
