Falkirk Community Trust

Cook

Application Deadline: Wednesday 24th April 2019
Falkirk Council and Falkirk Community Trust currently applies a living wage supplement to all employees earning less than £9.07 per hour. The value of the living wage supplement is subject to regular review by the Council and the Trust, is non-contractual and can be changed at any time.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team at the 5 star rated Helix Visitor Centre next to The Kelpies.

As a Cook you will have a passion for cooking and will help provide a 5 star visitor experience for all visitors to The Helix. While experience as a Cook is desirable, it is not essential. We do however require you to have a basic understanding of food hygiene standards which should be evident from your interview.

Ultimately, we are looking for individuals who display a positive attitude, are passionate, organised and can successfully work as part of a team. A strong willingness to learn is also critical. You will have a basic knowledge of food safety standards

You will cook and prepare a range of hot and cold food onsite to an agreed standard with ‘home’ baking being a major part of the operation.

As employee of Falkirk Community Trust you would be entitled to the following:

• Free gym and leisure facility membership for all Trust facilities
• Generous annual leave entitlement
• Cycle to Work scheme
• Childcare voucher scheme
• Pension

If you are interested in applying for this role, please fill in the form on My Job Scotland with as much detail as possible to allow us to get the possible picture of who you are and what your experiences have been.

If you have any questions about the role, please contact David Moody, Visitor Services Supervisor on (01324) 590600 or via email at david.moody@falkirkcommunitytrust.org .
