Are you a dynamic and innovative professional with a minimum of two years’ experience in either within the media or public relations? Do you have a thorough understanding of the media industry, social media and internal communications, as well as great copywriting and proofreading skills, an eye for detail and a creative spark? We are seeking a Senior Communications Officer to maximise our communications for one of Scotland’s leading conservation and education charities.

What you’ll be doing…
The Senior Communications Officer is a newly-created post within the Marketing, Communications and Membership department. It is a key role, supporting and developing:

· Media engagement
· Media training and incident planning
· Social media
· Website, blog and newsletter content
· Publications
· Staff engagement

This role will also involve deputising for the Communications Manager in their absence and supporting the development of audio and visual content.

This is a full time permanent role where the working hours are 37.5 hours per week, and work will be required out with normal working hours.

What you’ll need…
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative professional with a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, either within the media or public relations. You will have a thorough understanding of the media industry, social media and internal communications, as well as great copywriting and proofreading skills, an eye for detail and a creative spark. Multi-media skills would also be beneficial. Experience working in a busy communications environment and delivering to deadlines is also essential.
