£31,111 (Pay Award pending)

We are now seeking a Project Conservator to join our Collections Care team. The purpose of this role is to continue the conservation work required to the John Murray Archive collection. This archive holds over 200 years of the Murray firm's publishing history. The archive contains manuscripts, private letters and business papers from authors who shaped the modern world including Lord Byron, Jane Austen, Charles Darwin and David Livingstone.

Applications are encouraged from conservators with a recognised conservation qualification or an equivalent qualification or experience. Applicants should have at least two years of practical experience since qualifying, including experience of treating books and flat paper items. They should be accredited or working towards accreditation through Icon's PACR scheme.
