In this role, you’ll work some weekends, public holidays and evenings and there will be an element of being on-call.

Countryside Manager and Senior Rothiemurchus Ranger
Rothiemurchus is seeking exceptional candidates for the role of Countryside Manager and Senior Ranger. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Rothiemurchus team to support, care and deliver for our outstanding natural and cultural heritage as well as the 350k visitors who come to enjoy it each year. This position is critical to the promotion of a customer first culture by engaging, inspiring and driving income, the attainment of exceptional service standards and to induce the loyalty that is the key to gaining a reputation for a world class sustainable experience.
Rothiemurchus is a leading destination of choice for inspiring outdoor experiences within a stunning landscape, at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. It is sustainably managed to the highest international standards for conservation, access and
wider public benefits based on a culture of understanding and learning.
In this role you will lead by example through day to day operations as part of the Ranger team and help your team develop through coaching and mentoring. You will inspire, motivate and support the wider Rothiemurchus team and partners to deliver exceptional customer experiences and grow income. You will work with and alongside a range of diverse colleagues and stakeholders to deliver business and cultural change and develop successful strategies that align to the delivery of Rothiemurchus as well as the Cairngorms National Park’s vision and plans. You will ensure that your teams are an integral part of the whole Rothiemurchus team and also contribute to the Ranger profession within the Cairngorms National Park.
You will be an excellent all round, communicator with a welcoming, people first style and demonstrate the ability to lead a fast paced, operational team. You will be highly organised, with the ability to balance multiple demands from a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. You will also have a strong commercial approach and deliver against targets. This is balanced with your ability to create inclusive, high performing working environments that enable people to be their best.
