Preventative Conservator

We are now seeking a Preventative Conservator to join our Collections Care team. The purpose of this role is to introduce and manage a programme of preventive conservation across the Library’s estate in order to minimise risk to collections both on display and in storage. The Preventive Conservator’s remit will cover environmental monitoring and control; light management; IPM; disaster planning and response and collection re-housing projects. The post-holder will contribute to writing policies and procedures and will work across teams to ensure the Library achieves the highest standards of care for our collections.
