Exciting Seasonal Opportunities!

We are looking for professional and motivated individuals to represent one of Dumfries & Galloway’s finest tourist destinations during the 2020 season.

Castle Guides (Bank holidays in April & May then July – August)
You will be enthusiastic, with a keen interest in Scottish history and ideally a good understanding of art. You must have exceptional standards of customer service and communication skills and an ability to talk to groups of all ages. Your role will be hosting Castle tours and assisting in the day-to-day operations of this unique tourist attraction.

Kiosk Assistants (4 April – 30 September)
You will provide visitors to Drumlanrig with a warm welcome and provide the information they need to enjoy their visit. You should have excellent customer service standards and a willingness to be flexible. Your role will include issuing tickets and season passes, booking visitors on house tours and dealing with visitor queries.

Tearoom Assistants (4 April – 30 September)
With high standards of customer care you will provide a welcoming and professional service to visitors of the Castle tearoom. Your role will involve preparing and serving food and drinks whilst maintaining exemplary standards of cleanliness. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience, work well in a team and have a ‘can do’ attitude.

Front of House Assistant (4 April – 31 October)
You will provide a warm welcome to visitors using our new Larchwood Cabin serving refreshments to groups when required and ensuring things run smoothly. Hours will vary to cover days off and holiday. A drivers licence is required.

Senior Kitchen Assistant (4 April – 31 October)
With high standards of cleanliness you will prepare and serve delicious food to guests in our Tearoom. Hours will vary to cover days off and holidays.

For all of these positions weekend working is essential.
