Part Time Birthday Party Host

Summary of the Role

We are currently looking for high energy, enthusiastic weekend staff to host our Storytelling, Craft and Science birthday parties for children aged 4 years and up. You will be responsible for up to 20 children at a time, guiding them around the attraction, delivering fun and educating engagement. You will also be responsible for their craft, storytelling and catering needs. Successful candidates will be required to complete a Basic Disclosure and join the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) membership scheme.

Main Duties

Welcome and orientate party guests through the tour
Set up, lead and clean up Craft Activities • Set up, present and tidy Storytelling sessions
Assist with party meal, ensuring all food orders are supplied
Cut up and divide birthday cake evenly amongst party guests
Stock take and administration duties

Person Specification

Previous experience of working with children would be advantageous
Energetic and enthusiastic
Excellent verbal communication skills
Genuine interest in working with children
Good time management skills
Comfortable working in a loud, fast paced environment
Hourly Rate & Contract Type

£9.25 per hour
Occasional Friday afternoon
Saturday and Sunday’s
Zero Hour Contract
