Traveltech: Tools to help, inspire and adapt

Technology can play an important part in helping the tourism industry back on its feet and the digital Traveltech Directory launched by Traveltech for Scotland in December 2020 is intended to connect tourism and hospitality businesses with tech innovations, support tools and resources, plus practical case studies for inspiration and ideas.
Traveltech for Scotland will show how to get the best out of its new Traveltech Directory, an interactive resource inspired by the Scottish Tourism Toolkit, which was conceived by tourism professionals during lockdown 2020, to explore how diverse technologies could help tourism businesses in Scotland adapt and diversify in a world disrupted by Covid-19.
The Directory offers information for attractions, tour operators, accommodation providers and transport companies; currently listing over 100 technology companies and 30 plus industry case studies. It includes a technology glossary, user guide for desktop and mobile and a useful business resource support section.
Tech solutions include online ticketing, food and drink ordering, 360-degree video and contact tracing solutions; to help tourism and hospitality businesses in Scotland adapt and diversify their offerings and respond to the ongoing challenges of the pandemic, and to address immediate, short-term and longer-term business and customer needs.
