Welcoming car-free visitors to your attraction

Run By ASVA/ Good Journey

Broadcast On 17/01/2023

One in four UK households don’t own a car. This webinar explored how you can make them welcome – increasing visitors and cutting carbon. We heard how Blenheim Place gained 25,000 car-free visitors in just two years. And how Historic Environment Scotland will be opening its doors to car-free visitors in 2023.

The webinar included:

  • Visitor travel quiz
  • Reasons to take action
  • An epic Danish bus advert!
  • Steps you can take
  • Case studies from attractions of all sizes

This webinar was led by Nat Taplin, Founder/ Directory of Good Journey. Nat  has over 20 years’ experience in sustainable transport and tourism – increasing income and support for organisations like Campaign for Better Transport and New Forest National Park – before founding Good Journey in 2018.

Nat shared quick easy steps you can take right now to attract more car-free visitors. He also talked about inspiring improvements, like cycle paths and shuttlebuses, being made by Good Journey member attractions. And talked more about how Good Journey can help you – including a bespoke journey planning page for your attraction.
