We support the service delivery of a top-rated 4-star visitor attraction to domestic and international visitors in South Ayrshire and operate as a busy community hub, open daily throughout the year. Dalkeith Country Park has been enjoyed by visitors for 120 years and its woodlands, riverside trails, cycle tracks and events calendar are valued by locals and visitors from afar. Fort Douglas is an exciting adventure park which is a pull for visitors of all ages, while the stable yard houses Restoration Yard, a unique venture comprising a retail store, restaurant, and wellness space.

We are looking for Car Parking Attendants to assist our visitors with parking and help keep traffic moving over the busy weekend period. With a friendly and professional approach, you will process contactless payments, direct customers to spaces and patrol parking areas. You should demonstrate a positive attitude and good people skills.

JOB PURPOSE

Visiting our Café is an essential part of the visitor experience for those coming to Pollok House and the role of the Visitor Service Assistant – Food & Beverage is to make it a positive and memorable part of a visitor’s day with us. Our café is a busy operation, and the ideal candidate should be experienced in a high volume, fast paced environment. Barista experience would be beneficial for this role however training will be given.
We also operate as a function venue so this role will be required to work evenings on occasion to assist with weddings or other events. Previous experience in a function venue dealing with large scale dinner service and bar service would be beneficial.

The Scottish Seabird Centre is a national conservation and education charity. Our purpose is to Inspire and educate people about the Scottish marine environment in ways which motivate them to care for it and to participate in conservation activities. Based in North Berwick, East Lothian we overlook the marine environment of the Firth of Forth and its internationally important breeding seabird colonies. We welcome over 160,000 visitors each year to our Centre.

Role profile
The Business Support Officer will work collaboratively with the Finance & Business Support Team to provide administrative support to the organisation. This is a key role within the team and is one of the main points of contact for customers, potential new team members and other stakeholders.

Principal duties
1. Provide administrative support to the Chair, Chief Executive and the Board of Trustees.
2. Setup and minute quarterly Charity Board meetings and ensure the action log from these is kept up to date.
3. Provide HR administrative support including preparation of contracts, maintenance of HR records and assistance with recruitment.
4. Ensure that accident reports are logged, filed and any concerns or follow up actions required are communicated to a member of the senior management team.
5. Support the organisation of annual training requirements for the team and ensure adequate disclosure checks are in place for relevant roles.
6. Assist with membership processing by setting up new memberships on our system, sending reminders when renewal is due, ensuring member data is correct and communicating effectively with our members.
7. Liaise with the Charity’s volunteer group and maintain records of volunteer details and hours.
8. Provide general office support including monitoring stationery levels and complete orders, prepare and process internal and external correspondence and respond to customer queries in person, over the phone and via our general enquiry email address.

About the Tall Ship

The Tall Ship is one of the city’s busiest, vibrant visitor attractions located in the heart of Glasgow at the Riverside Museum and River Clyde. Of the many hundreds of ships built in Glasgow’s shipyards, the Glenlee is one of only five Clyde built tall ships still afloat in the world today and she is the only one of her kind in the UK. Role Summary

This is a rare opportunity to join our experienced Visitor Experience Team at the Tall Ship. We are recruiting friendly, enthusiastic individuals with a passion for hospitality and visitor attractions. Previous experience in customer or visitor service, food & beverage or retail is essential. You will be joining a strong team during this busy time and successful candidates will possess outstanding communication skills, a strong eye for detail with an instinctive approach to working with people.

This role is based on board the Glenlee in a front of house setting encompassing the full visitor experience including welcoming visitors at the ticket office, café, gift shop, tours and events space including a licensed bar. Candidates should anticipate working in a fast paced, high volume environment with the over 2000 visitors per day at peak times.

Key Tasks

• Working with colleagues to ensure the effective, efficient and safe running of the ship guaranteeing a high quality, on-brand, visitor experience.
• Expected to ensure every visitor has positive and memorable contact with staff, whether they are individuals, small groups, large groups, school groups, people with disabilities, families etc
• Assist with facilitating family activities and events, contributing ideas and suggestions to enhance the visitor experience.
• Ensure the ship, together with its environs, visitor facilities and equipment are maintained and presented to a high standard.

Key Skills

• Experience in working in hospitality, catering and events in advantageous. A can-do attitude is a must!
• Flexibility is required to fulfil this role as shifts are to suit the needs of the business and range from daytime, back shift and occasional night shifts to cover late night and overnight events
• Ability to enthuse people throughout their visit with great interpersonal skills
• Have good people engagement and communication skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads
• Good problem-solving skills and be able to work on own initiative
• Ability to manage and respond quickly to customer needs and feedback
• Ability to work as part of a team, to motivate and inspire people
• Ability and willingness to work weekends and occasional evening

Stirling District Tourism Limited (SDT), an independent charity managing heritage events and visitor attractions in the Stirling area, is looking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and commercially focused individual to ensure the charity’s operational effectiveness and future growth. With a new project just commencing, this is an exciting time to join the organisation.

The role involves a wide range of responsibilities, including day to day management, providing support to the SDT Board, developing and delivering effective leadership, and managing all associated resources, projects, strategic planning and development opportunities, in line with the charitable objectives of the company. Fostering positive relationships with partner organisations in heritage tourism is also key.

We are seeking an experienced individual with proven strategic vision, strong financial awareness, excellent leadership skills and an engaging communication style. Educated to degree level (or equivalent), or alternatively able to demonstrate relevant knowledge, and recent experience in a high-profile senior management role are essential. Marketing and funding experience would be highly desirable, as is experience within the heritage sector.
