Permanent, part-time (21 hours) post, based in Edinburgh

We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable Assistant Visitor Welcome Manager to help lead our front-of-house operations and ensure every visitor enjoys a warm, safe, and memorable experience.

You will support the day-to-day management of the Visitor Welcome Team, working closely with the Head of Visitor Welcome and Admissions to deliver a high-quality, inclusive experience for all. You’ll help manage staffing, respond to the evolving needs of the organisation, and ensure smooth, efficient operations.

You’ll bring energy, initiative, and a passion for outstanding service. With experience in team leadership, you’ll be confident in supporting both your team and the wider needs of the Garden. Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to anticipate visitor needs and remain calm, inclusive, and solutions-focused under pressure.

This is a rostered role, working 3 days over 7, including weekends and public holidays. Full details of the required pattern can be found in the linked job description.
