Hours: 17.5 hours per week.
Contract type: Fixed Term until 31 12 2027
Pay details: The listed salary is for a full-time role. If you’re applying for a part-time or bank job, we will calculate your pay on a pro-rata basis. The hourly rate is £19.88 per hour.

What you’ll do
As a Community Archivist you’ll be a part of an existing team, reporting to Senior Arts Manager – Sauchiehall Street Culture and Heritage District. You’ll play an essential role in creating and testing a framework and policies for the creation of a new community archive for the District. Working in collaboration with individuals and communities this role will ensure that diverse community stories are included and represented in the archive.

We’re looking for:
• Post-Graduate Diploma in Archive Administration OR equivalent experience, such as: completion of Level 7 Archivist Apprenticeship OR substantial professional experience in archive or heritage settings demonstrating independent responsibility for cataloguing, collections care, systems development, and community engagement.
• Knowledge and direct experience of working with archives, project management standards and current professional best practice.
• Working knowledge and experience of archive and cataloguing to recognised professional standards.
• Experience of creating opportunities for contemporary collecting be able to tell more diverse, inclusive stories.
