Drumlanrig Castle & Country Estate sits in the stunning countryside of our Queensberry Estate, home to the Castle and its unique artworks, stunning gardens, and a range of other outdoor activities and visitor facilities.

The role? You will play a key role in supporting the Gardens team to maintain the stunning grounds and gardens of one of Scotland’s most remarkable horticultural settings featuring formal terraces, woodland gardens, Victorian glasshouses and a heather house. You will contribute to the care and development of our outdoor spaces, bringing the gardens to life to showcase to our visitors, and carrying out a range of tasks including planting, pruning, maintaining lawns and paths, weeding, hedge trimming, mulching and propagation.

The person? A skilled gardener, ideally with estate or grounds care experience, you will take pride in maintaining gardens to the highest standard. Candidates should demonstrate practical horticultural skills and plant knowledge, and be comfortable using a range of gardening tools and machinery.
