What we do? At Drumlanrig Castle, visitors are spoiled for choice. They can admire our magnificent Pink Palace, marvel at the stunning Victorian Gardens, take a guided tour, enjoy the woodland adventure playground, delight in the outdoors on our walks and bike trails, and treat themselves to tasty refreshments in our tearoom or Larchwood Cabin Café.

The role? As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be an essential part of our catering team, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Your duties will include washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment and surfaces, and assisting with basic food preparation. This is a seasonal role from June until the end of October, with variable hours (including weekends).

The person? You’ll be reliable, hardworking, and a team player with a positive attitude. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to take on a variety of tasks. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the importance of food hygiene standards, and while experience in a similar role is desirable, full training will be given. Access to your own transport is essential since public transport is not available.
