We are looking for a dynamic, customer focused Lalique Boutique/ Retail Specialist to join our team at the Lalique Boutique, the only one of its kind in Scotland.
The Lalique Boutique is located at The Glenturret Distillery, Scotland’s Oldest Working Distillery, owned in partnership with Lalique, one of the world’s truly great luxury brands and based in an incredibly beautiful location. This is a unique luxury Scottish brand, with the hospitality business comprising of the Two MICHELIN Star Lalique Restaurant, a busy tourist attraction and Aberturret Estate House. We are a forward-thinking, fast-growing business with ambitious expansion and global business growth plans.
The role of Lalique Boutique/ Retail Specialist at The Glenturret will report to the Retail and Boutique Supervisor and play a key role in promoting and selling the Glenturret/ Lalique brands, driving sales performance across all retail channels and delivering on departmental sales objectives. This position requires the delivery of outstanding customer service while managing sales and cash transactions. As well as engaging with customers, effectively communicating the features and benefits of products, and employing suggestive selling techniques to meet customer needs and drive sales.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing exceptional customer service in the Glenturret Retail Shop and Lalique Boutique
• Facilitating e-commerce sales effectively
• Assisting with stocktaking as necessary
• Handling all incoming calls with professionalism and efficiency
• Sharing information regarding Glenturret and Lalique products, including details about tours and booking availability
• Maximising every opportunity to upsell experiences and products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales of Glenturret Whisky and merchandise
• Assisting in promoting the Glenturret and Lalique brands to enhance brand visibility
• Helping host evening events and product launches
• Assisting the Retail and Boutique Supervisor with compiling daily and monthly business reports
• Assisting the Retail and Boutique Supervisor with facilitating stock orders and internal logistics
• Supporting the wider visitor experience team with bar/café space
• Supporting the tour operation through assisting with larger tours, tasting setup and clean down as required
About you:
This role is suitable for someone who is passionate about luxury retail and whisky, possesses excellent organisational and people skills with the ability to work comfortably on your own or together as a team.
You are highly motivated, enthusiastic and energetic and have exceptional customer service skills and a keen eye for attention to detail.
Exemplary communication and time management skills, flexibility and proactivity as well as a friendly and solution-focused attitude are imperative.
You’re passionate about Lalique and The Glenturret Brand and possess the confidence to engage with customers, communicating features and benefits of merchandise whilst applying suggestive selling techniques to appeal to the customer’s needs and ultimately generate sales.
Previous experience in selling high-end luxury products within a premium retail environment and/ or providing exceptional/ tailored customer service is highly advantageous. Knowledge of cash-handling/ cash-up procedures and inventory management is essential.
