Jupiter Artland is an award-winning contemporary sculpture park and charitable foundation located just outside Edinburgh. Set across 120 acres of meadow, woodland and indoor gallery spaces, it presents a significant collection of permanent site-specific commissions alongside seasonal exhibitions, public programmes and events.

Every visit supports the work of the Jupiter Artland Learning Foundation, which delivers free creative learning for schools and young people across Scotland. Alongside its programme on site, Jupiter+ extends the organisation’s reach through exhibitions, residencies and youth activity across Scotland.

About the position

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Marketing Co-ordinator to support the delivery of Jupiter Artland’s marketing and communications activity.

Working within the Marketing & Communications team, the Marketing Co-ordinator will help promote exhibitions, events, membership, learning programmes, seasonal activity and the wider Jupiter Artland experience. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for contemporary art, culture and audience engagement who enjoys working across a varied range of marketing activity.

The successful candidate will be creative, organised and confident communicating with a wide range of audiences. They will have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a busy cultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, social media, email and other channels.
  • Create, coordinate and schedule engaging content for Jupiter Artland’s social media platforms.
  • Assist with the production and distribution of email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
  • Update website content, ensuring information is accurate, engaging and up to date.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials, including flyers, posters, brochures, digital assets and promotional copy.
  • Coordinate marketing activity for exhibitions, events, seasonal programmes and learning activities.
  • Work with internal teams, artists, partners, designers, photographers and external suppliers to gather and deliver marketing content.
  • Assist with maintaining marketing schedules, campaign plans and content calendars.
  • Monitor campaign performance and contribute to reporting and evaluation.
  • Support audience development and initiatives designed to attract new and diverse audiences.
  • Help maintain accurate marketing databases and audience records in line with relevant data protection requirements.
  • Assist with press and PR activity.
  • Keep up to date with relevant cultural, digital and marketing trends.

About You

  • We are looking for someone who has experience in a marketing, communications or audience development role.
  • Can write engaging, audience-focused copy for different platforms.
  • Is confident using various social media accounts and digital marketing tools.
  • Has strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Has excellent attention to detail.
  • Is creative and proactive.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Has an interest in contemporary art and the cultural sector.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with email marketing platforms and CRM/database systems.
  • Experience using analytics and reporting tools.
  • Confident with Adobe Suite.
  • Experience promoting events, exhibitions or cultural programmes.
  • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • SharePoint document management and internal coordination workflows.
  • WordPress and WooCommerce website and ecommerce management.
  • Meta Business Suite including paid campaigns on Instagram and Facebook.
  • Hootsuite for social media scheduling and reporting tools.
  • Website content editing and SEO basics.
