We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Moorings Administrator to join our Moorings Team team in either Glasgow or Inverness. You will will play a critical role in the day-to-day operation of our moorings portfolio which generates approximately £950,000 annual income.

The Moorings Administrator will provide a high level of customer service, working with colleagues across the business to deliver moorings KPI’s and business objectives, supporting the Moorings Team on moorings-related activities including customer enquiries, compliance and mooring contract renewals.

The role is offered on a fixed-term basis for 6 months, and with a starting salary of £26,110 (Band B). Working hours 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday.

Scottish Canals is responsible for over 550 leisure, commercial and residential moorings across 4 canals. We are seeking a friendly, confident and motivated individual to join our moorings team and work on one of Scotland’s national treasures.

Day to day tasks include:

Co-ordination of customer queries and enquiries.
Process waiting list applications and respond to queries.
Provide administration support for Moorings Team. E.g. compliance, mooring agreements, liaising with Finance with account and billing set up.
Undertake regular checks to ensure adherence to moorings conditions.
Support with reviewing customer debt across the portfolio and escalating as appropriate.
Support resolution of frontline customer issues, escalating as appropriate.
Maintain customer records in line with GDPR.
Assist with maintenance of web pages, reviewing content for accuracy and providing updates.

Team worker, able to adapt to changing environment.
Ability to manage and prioritise workload to meet targets and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to deal fluently with internal and external customers
Proficiency in the use of personal computer and business applications with working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
Judgement regarding upward referral of issues for further guidance.
Awareness of Health & Safety and Quality Standards.
