The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Museum Assistant to join our team in Levenmouth. The post is for 22 hours a week and is on a fixed term basis until March 2025. Your days of working will flex to meet the business needs and this will include weekend and evening working.

With project funding, OnFife is investing in relevance-based community engagement work in Levenmouth, exploring opportunities to build and strengthen our service provision across the area including from our existing venues, Methil Heritage Centre and Buckhaven Library & Museum.

You’ll work as part of a team to provide a friendly, efficient and effective first point of contact for OnFife customers and visitors to the Heritage Centre. This includes providing information, support for visiting groups, responding to Family and Local History enquiries and assisting with museum object handling and preparing gallery spaces.

You’ll help with the delivery of OnFife services and contribute to the ongoing development of OnFife.

We are looking for someone who puts the customer first, strives to provide an excellent experience to customers and visitors and who has a can-do attitude. We want you to have a flexible attitude and a willingness to learn.
Flexibility will be required and access to transport is necessary, as there may be travel throughout the region.
