Are you looking for a flexible seasonal job that is both fun and unique? You’ll get a unique view into Scotland’s rich history and gain valuable experience in the tourism industry and help bring Scotland’s dramatic history to life for our visitors from across the world. Explore the fascinating stories from Scotland’s past and share your passion with international and local visitors who come to Bute and Port Glasgow through the season.

You will have the opportunity to work at:

Rothesay Castle: unique among Scottish castles for both its early date and unusual circular plan. It’s also famous for its close links with the Stewarts – both while they were hereditary high stewards and, from 1371, a royal dynasty. To this day, the heir to the throne still has the title Duke of Rothesay.

Newark Castle: Newark Castle was for a long time hidden behind the giant cranes and sheds of the Clyde’s great shipyards. Only recently has it re-emerged to take its rightful place in the townscape of Port Glasgow.
