About Us:
Hidden beneath Edinburgh’s historic Old Town, The Lost Close is a recently discovered underground space steeped in mystery and atmosphere. Throughout the day we guide guests through the history of the Lost Close as well as historic walking tours of the city. From early afternoon to late night our site is transformed into a premium tasting venue, hosting guided experiences featuring Scotland’s finest gin, whisky, and craft beer in our underground space.

This is a dynamic, dual-purpose role where no two days are the same. You will:
– Bring history to life with compelling storytelling, historical insight, and theatrical flair
– Lead engaging and informative walking tours of Edinburgh’s Old Town.
– Ensure guests are safe, comfortable, and immersed in the experience.
– Host intimate, premium tastings of whisky, gin, and beer in The Lost Close’s underground venue.
– Share knowledge of Scottish distilling traditions and tasting techniques.
– Create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
– Be part of the daily events schedule we offer for the guests of Code The Court

We’re Looking For:
– Confident communicators with a passion for performance, history, and hospitality.
– Previous tour guiding, hospitality, or performance experience (preferred but not essential).
– Strong knowledge of Edinburgh’s history and/or Scottish spirits – or a willingness to learn quickly.
– Reliable, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
– 18+ due to alcohol service.

Hours & Pay:
– Part-time roles available.
– Includes evening, weekend, bank holiday shifts.
– Competitive hourly pay (£12.50 to £14.50)
