Image showing SITEnetwork

SITEnetwork

SITEnetwork is a cutting-edge digital platform focused on creating a global network of virtual reality (VR) tourist attractions. It allows potential visitors to virtually experience destinations before physically visiting them, providing immersive and interactive previews of tourist spots across the globe.

This innovative concept aims to revolutionize the tourism industry by bridging the gap between physical and digital experiences, enhancing customer engagement, and increasing accessibility to destinations that may be difficult to visit in person. Independent research shows that virtual-pre-visits actually increase physical visits by up to 33%.

For members of the Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions (AVSA), SITEnetwork offers a unique opportunity to expand their audience reach and enhance visitor experiences. By integrating virtual tours of their attractions, AVSA members can offer international tourists a preview of Scotland’s rich cultural, historical, and natural heritage, attracting a broader demographic. It also supports educational and marketing efforts, as virtual experiences can be used to showcase lesser-known locations, increase off-peak tourism, or provide accessibility to those unable to travel.

The platform is especially relevant in the post-pandemic world, where virtual engagement has become crucial to maintaining a presence in the global tourism market.

This alignment with modern digital trends ensures that AVSA members can stay competitive and innovative in an increasingly digital-first landscape.
